anlayze index에서 validate structure와 compute statistics

anlayze index에서 validate structure와 compute statistics의 차이가 모호합니다.
무슨 차이가 잇는것이지요?
둘다 index_stats 뷰를 갱신하는거 같은데..

Specify VALIDATE STRUCTURE to validate the structure of the analyzed object. The statistics collected by this clause are not used by the Oracle optimizer, as are statistics collected by the COMPUTE STATISTICS and ESTIMATE STATISTICS clauses.
compute statistics, ESTIMATE STATISTICS 는 통계 정보를 수집 하는 것이고 이것으로 옵티마이져가 이용하나, validate structure 의 경우 index 와 table 의 관계 체크 [ index 의 가 가진 테이블의 rowid 가 정확한지 여부 체크 등 ] 을 합니다.
compute statistics, ESTIMATE STATISTICS 는 통계 정보를 수집 하는 것이고 이것으로 옵티마이져가 이용하나, validate structure 의 경우 index 와 table 의 관계 체크 [ index 의 가 가진 테이블의 rowid 가 정확한지 여부 체크 등 ] 을 합니다.
